OCC Cares Hardship Grant Fall 2023

The OCC Cares Hardship Grant provides assistance to students who encounter unforeseen financial emergencies that disrupt their progress towards their educational goals. Requests can include academic-related expenses as well as non-academic-related needs.  

To be eligible, students must: 

• Demonstrate need resulting from an unexpected circumstance
• Be currently enrolled in at least 6 units at Orange Coast College
• Have filled out the FAFSA or CA Dream Act application for the academic year 

An eligible student may only receive a maximum of one OCC Cares Hardship Grant during the academic year. Maximum award is $500. Requests are reviewed for need and availability of funds.  

Your responses will be kept confidential and will only be seen by the OCC Cares staff. Depending on your answers and needs, we may reach out to you directly with support and resources.
