MESA (Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement) is a state-funded program serving students who face economic and educational barriers. MESA assists students to attain their educational and career goals through academic, community, career, transfer and financial services and supports. The goals of the program are to encourage the enrollment, retention and transfer of STEM students.

The MESA Program and all of its benefits are open to Golden West College students who meet all of the following requirements:

Majoring in a STEM field that requires Calculus I (MATH G180) or above at Golden West College.
A 1st Generation College Student (parents/guardians have not yet earned a college degree)
Have demonstrated Financial Need (determined by their FAFSA/CA Dream Act application)
US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or AB 540/DACA
Planning to Transfer to a University to earn a Bachelor's degree in a STEM major
No GPA requirement!
