Tutor Interest Form

The Science & Engineering Tutoring Center hires tutors throughout the semester based on student demand. If there is no current need for the subject you want to tutor, you are still encouraged to fill out this Interest Form. There may be a need for your subject later in the semester.

Due to the large number of applications received, applicants will only be contacted if an
interview is warranted. In addition, you must complete the district application prior to interview:

Application for full-time students (6 units and above for the 2025-2026 academic year)

Application for non-students or students who are enrolled in under 6 units

Minimum qualifications to be a tutor:
• 3.0 GPA
• B or A grade in classes to be tutored
• Recommendation from instructor for each subject area
• Copy of transcripts (unofficial)
• Approximately 10 hours minimum per week commitment
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly, patient, dependable with strong work ethic
• Organized and able to complete tasks on time
