OCC AANHPI Glow & Gather: Candle Making Workshop

In celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month, join the AANHPI Center for Glow & Gather: Candle Making Workshop, a hands-on experience designed to bring together creativity, culture, and community during a busy time in the semester.

Across many AANHPI cultures, light holds deep symbolic meaning—representing hope, remembrance, guidance, and renewal. From lantern festivals to ceremonial uses of candles, light has long been used as a way to bring people together and honor both personal and collective experiences.

In this interactive workshop, participants will create their own custom candles while exploring the calming and reflective process of crafting. Whether you choose scents that remind you of home, culture, or comfort, this space invites you to slow down, express yourself, and reconnect with what grounds you.

This event is especially designed to support students during the final stretch of the semester—offering a moment to pause, de-stress, and recharge while building meaningful connections with others in the community.
