Coast CCD Undocumented Student Action Month

Why Undocumented Student Action Month?

The Coast Colleges Undocumented Student Liaisons are proud to expand California Community Colleges’ annual Undocumented Student Action Week into a month-long (USAM) celebration across our District. Established in 2016, USAW is a statewide initiative that supports undocumented students by raising awareness, amplifying their voices, and advancing equity-driven policies.

This year’s theme, Our Stories. Our Strength. Our Future., centers the voices and experiences of students while creating opportunities to learn, connect, and build stronger systems of support. Throughout October, colleges will host workshops, policy forums, and campus events that center cultural affirmation, trauma-informed practices, and access to resources such as fellowships, entrepreneurship pathways and more.

We invite you to participate in our events celebrating this important month. For any questions, please contact your college’s Undocumented Student Liaison.
Why Participate in the Coast CCD Undocumented Student Action Month?
  • Show solidarity and affirm that undocumented students belong.
  • Raise awareness of barriers and help remove them.
  • Support equity-driven policies and student success.
  • Amplify student voices and stories with policymakers.
  • Strengthen our campus community of inclusion and belonging.
  • Invest in California’s future workforce and leaders.
We hope you join us for one, a few, or all of our exciting events! These events are open to all CCCD students, staff, and faculty!
